Officers and Board of Directors – CALL FOR NOMINATIONS


The National Association for Rehabilitation Leadership is pleased to announce that nominations of qualified candidates are being sought for the following Officers’ and Board of Directors’ positions:


President-Elect:
President-Elect: President-Elect: The President-Elect shall serve on the Board and the Executive committee and shall assume the presidency on January 1 following the annual meeting of the Assembly next following the one at which elected, or if the presidency of the Division should become vacant, or if the President is unable to perform the duties of the office due to temporary circumstances, the President-Elect shall serve as the President until such time as the President is again able to resume such duties. In the absence of the President, the President-Elect shall preside over meetings. The President or Board may assign the President-Elect other duties from time to time. The President-Elect serves on the NARL board for three years, the first year in the capacity of President Elect (2015).  They then for the second year serve as the NARL President for the year 2016, and Past President for the last of these three years (2017). 

Secretary:
Secretary: The Secretary shall serve on the Board and the Executive Committee, and shall take office January 1 following the annual conference at which elected and serve a two year term. The Secretary shall be elected in the odd numbered years. Minutes shall be kept of all meetings of the membership, of the Board, and of the Executive Committee, and shall be distributed or presented at any meetings as directed by the President. At the direction of the President, the Secretary shall issue notices of membership meetings, Board meetings, and Executive Committee meetings. Two year term, 2015-2016.   

NARL Representative to NRA Board:
NARL Representative to NRA Board:  The Representative to the Association Board shall serve on the Board (Consistent with the NRA Constitution and Bylaws, i.e. if the Division is required to have 500 members to have an NRA Board Member and the Division has less than 500, then the NARL Representative to the Association Board will serve in a liaison capacity, utilizing the NRA Board Member at large to present official Division business to the Association Board rather than as an Association voting Board Member), the Executive Committee, the Association Board and the Association Commission for a term of three years. The term of office shall begin and end in accordance with the Association’s Constitution and Bylaws. Notify NARL President if unable to attend Association Board meeting and recommend an alternate. Notify Association’s Executive Director in writing of an alternate representative after approved by President.

Nominees must be NARL members during entire term of office.  Self-nominations are welcome.  Position descriptions are available in the NARL Bylaws posted on the National Rehabilitation Association/NARL Division website at www.nationalrehab.org.  Please submit nominations along with a brief write-up about the nominee and their vision for NARL by August 8, 2014 to:
